Now Hiring a Project Manager

Areas of Responsibility:         


  • Manage each assigned project from pre-construction meeting to the closing of the project.
  • Focus on scheduled completion dates of specific tasks, always keeping the closing date in mind.
  • Coordinate with each sub-contractor any changes or delays in schedules.
  • Arrange all (or verify in some circumstances) of the inspections for each of the units from undergrounds to occupancy.
  • Provide construction documents to each sub-contractor upon request.
  • Attend all related meetings for each unit including but not limited to pre-construction, mechanical walk through, final walk through, etc.
  • Conduct all customer walk throughs as thoroughly as possible making sure to explain the little details.
  • Perform walk throughs (utilizing predetermined checklists) at various stages of project to monitor quality and correct conformity.
  • Conduct daily job site visits to check for quality and quantity of the work performed. Inspecting each day ensures that mistakes do not pile up on each other and create an even larger, more challenging issue to correct.
  • Coordinate multiple crews on any given site due to time constraints or other circumstances.
  • Support and encourage all personnel on job sites. Build, grow, and maintain relationships with everyone that works for the builder.
  • Step up whenever needed. Some days there might be a need for cleaning up around a community, others to help fix a wall or anything else.
  • Take pride and ownership in your communities. View them through the eyes of a buyer. No one wants to see trash laying around or mud all over the streets. Be proactive and prevent these things from happening.
  • Maintain and promote proper building codes and standards.
  • Schedule and coordinate any deliveries needed.
  • Schedule port-a-john deliveries at beginning of job.
  • Schedule dumpster deliveries at beginning of job and rotations throughout as they are full, making sure they are removed before overloaded.
  • Perform basic punch-out tasks.
  • Continuing education on current Building Science and building construction code (both formal and informal)
  • Understanding and ensuring proper installation of materials

  • Possess at least 3 years of construction industry supervision.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and stressful conditions.
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Must possess good written and oral skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple site locations
  • Ability to make decisions. Decisions should be based first and most importantly on customer expectation and what was promised to them.
  • Know when to escalate the issue/decision up to the Operations Manager.
  • Create, maintain, and grow relationships with sub-contractors, suppliers, code officials, and co-workers.
  • Possess a positive attitude to deal with multiple personalities and attitudes on any given site.
  • Problem resolution; issues will arise daily and most can be solved with logical thinking and putting the customer expectations first.


  • Demonstrate a full understanding of the building process from excavation to completion.
  • Communicate with all personnel related to each project (sub-contractors, suppliers, customers, code officials, co-workers, etc.)
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage tight deadlines, promptly address and solve issues without disrupting schedules and manage high volumes of work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of Windows operating system as well as various office software packages (MS Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of mobile technology including but not limited to smart phones, tablets, etc.
  • Carry out the Values of Brennan Builders (Honesty, Integrity, Respect & Trust)

Working Conditions

  • Workweek: Monday thru Friday occasionally on a Saturday if needed. Available by phone/email during off hours if an emergency comes up.
  • Minimum Working Hours: 40-hour minimum around a core time frame of 7-3. Will be required to work later when customer walk throughs are scheduled. Phone calls will often begin before 7 am as many sub-contractors will begin calling around 6.
  • Transportation: A company vehicle is provided. It will be equipped with basic power tools. Any necessary hand tools would be user provided. The vehicle is expected to be kept clean and neat as it represents the company. The company will pay for all maintenance on the vehicle, however it is your responsibility to keep up on all scheduled maintenance.
  • Dress: Appropriate field attire for the weather. You will be provided with Brennan t-shirts, polo shirts, and sweatshirts. Nothing with vulgar language or obscene photos will be permitted.
  • Stress: Situations may exist on a frequent basis that require tolerances for stress as well as appropriate stress management techniques to be utilized.
